Solar self-consumption in swimming pool water treatment plants: a new and effective application

The government has designed a series of regulatory changes regarding electricity consumption and generation that have put the brakes on the development of photovoltaic installations.
Of all these regulatory changes, only off-grid solar energy installations are left out.
The problem with these off-grid installations is that they almost always require energy storage, which requires the installation of batteries, and this always implies a significant increase in cost.
The only ones that we can continue installing and recommending to our clients without fearing future problems, although even that can be an unknown, in our country are the isolated ones.
We are going to expose a type of isolated installations of instantaneous self-consumption that we understand that it can be of interest: It is the consumption of electrical energy necessary for the purification of swimming pools and/or drip irrigation installations.
These are installations that do not require energy storage, since the energy generated is applied directly.
The equipment of which these installations are composed have reduced their price enormously, as it happened in its day with the kits of panel + microinverter.
In this case it is an installation that only requires solar panels, a pump and a frequency controller.
As we said, the great advantage of this equipment is that it does not require energy storage.
The electrical power generated by the panels is used directly in the pump, which recirculates the pool water.
When there is more solar radiation (in the central hours of the day), the faster the pump turns, and therefore the more it purifies.
In summer is when there are more purification needs, and it is also when there is more solar energy available.
Therefore, it is easy to disconnect the electrical installation of our pool and forget about energy in this application.
The seasons will mark the purification times (more in summer, less in winter), and the customer should only be aware of the levels of chlorine and products for the maintenance of PH, as until now.
